Acupuncture Services in Markham
Acupuncture is a traditional physical therapy technique at our Markham chiropractic clinic that involves the insertion of thin needles into specific points on the body. It has been used for thousands of years to treat a variety of health conditions, including athletic injuries.
In terms of musculoskeletal injuries, acupuncture may help to reduce inflammation, improve blood flow, and promote the body’s natural healing processes. Acupuncture can be used to treat a range of injuries, including sprains, strains, tendonitis, and other soft tissue injuries. It may also be helpful for managing pain associated with these injuries.
During an acupuncture session, Dr. Bennett will first conduct an evaluation to determine the best course of treatment. Then he will insert very thin needles into specific points on the body, often leaving them in place for up to 20 minutes. He may use heat or electrical stimulation to enhance the effects of the treatment.
